ESS / MSS / SRM compatable Ipad web browsers

Hi Guys,

We have had a request from some managers and our CIO that i would be nice if they could use ipads to access ESS / MSS Applications & SRM from their Ipads.

I've got an ipad for 'testing' at the moment

Were currently running WEB AS 6.40 / J2EE 6.40 on the back end and the latest version of SAP portal. J2EE 7.0

The portal overview screen looks really good on the ipad and is accessible, however it would be nice if we could use ess/mss services on the device and possibly SRM 4. (In the process of upgrading to 7)

The basic requests are approving work flow etc,

I know this is fully un supported, but any 'hacks' or ipad browers which you can set to IE 7 / FF3 that work would be much appreciated.

I know this probably isn't possible but any suggestions would be welcome.

    Hi James,

    SRM 4 works with ITS, as webgui do, so you should simply add to the url a parameter ~USERAGENTCHECK=0 to the browser.

    Check this post, it well explain :

    [iPhone Safari;

    It maybe you need to adjust the url: i.e. replace 'webgui' string with 'BBPStart' (or similar)

    Be careful to adopt the host name of ITS (integrated with ABAP engine --> SICF) and WebAs port (and not the portal port)
