"AUTO ARCHIVE LOCATION" - FF change Log

Hi All,

Continuation to the below thread

I want to see the change history of the each firefighter assigned to which user on which dates. I have used the table /VIRSA/ZFFUSERS, but it is showing the current valid accounts which get assigned to the users.

But i am looking for the data of 1 year or 6 months back. And i am unable to figure it out.

I have seen this thread 1592014 and Alpesh give the solution as below. But i am not clear were should this parameter settings need to setup.

Kindly give me more information on this.

"There is a setting where you can configure that while archiving delete the logs from SPM.

What setting is that? is it a configuration parameter? This would be a parameter you set it up while doing archiving via Administration -> Delete/Download LogAnd when you say: until you upload the archived logs into SPM.

Do you mean to upload the log in the Java SPM module, where the other 3 modules are (RAR, CUP, ERM)? No. for SPM/FF, all the actions are taken in the backend SAP system. The Web/Java SPM piece is only to see reports"

are you refering to change log for Firefighter assignment.

that is not possible.

Alpesh i think was refering to enabling change log parameter in table.

however change log is recorded only in CDHDR table and this table only collect businees data

Ok, if the auditor or the business or IT user or anyone want to see the assignment of a FF id to so and so users from past 6 months. For an example i have assigned a FF id to N number of users from the past one year, and now i want to check to whom i have assigned this FF id from past 1 year. usually we can check this in a table /VIRSA/ZFFUSERS.

And i am not concern whether the users used that FF id or not. only to check when it get assigned and how long.

But for me this table is showing only the current data with valid end dates.

So please let me know.

well i had handled auditor, was FF admin

we use to maintain one excel sheet, which was password protected.

in this we use to maintain all user assignment like

user id , user name, ff id assigned, controoler, systems, valid from, valid to

well start doing it now.

you can still reply to auditors that : whatever assignments were done, those users have used Firefighter and they can see log report for all the detais

make sure u don't have missing log in log report 'BACKGROUND JOB.....................'

and emails are send to controllers.

hope this help

Hi,

Auto Archive is done for archiveing the SPM logs in the backend system. Since you want to check these logs from last 6 month or 1 year. Check whether data of this duration is not deleted because of archiving.

If it is deleted because of archiving then you can upload this data back to see logs. For more information, you can check SAP Note 1041912 - Firefighter Best Practice Archiving Strategy

Thanks
