IW41 - No direct access to notification when on a operation other than 0010

At the individual confirmation, IW41, I have no direct access to the notification when the

confirmation is made on a operation other than 0010!

When I do a confirmation on any other # of operation and I click on the notification push-button SAP displays a pop-up windows asking me for a notification type and notification #. This pop-up does not appear when confirming on operation 0010. As many order have multiple operations, it's a real pain.

Do you have the same behavior? How to resolve the issue and be able to access directly the notification with any operation number?

I use ECC 6.0

Please follow below SPRO path

Plant Maintenance and Customer Service>Maintenance and Service Processing>Maintenance and Service Orders>Functions and Settings for Order Types>Define Notification- and Order Integration

Put the required order Type and Notification type together in this Configuration and for Coloumn Enhanced Object List

selectOption>Assignment of operations to object list entries inactive

(The enhanced functions for the object list are inactive. That means, an assignment of the operations of the order to entries in the object list is not possible.)

This is probably because the operation 0020 or operations other than 10 is not assigned to a notification. This happens when "Assignment of Operations to object list" is active in the config (SPRO> PM> Orders> settings for order type> define notification and order integration) for the order type. When this is active, by default the first operation gets assigned to the header notification.You would have to manually assign the remaining operation to the header or other notifications from the OBJECT LIST tab of the order.Hence if you have not assigned operation to notification then when you do IW41 and choose Notification icon, its trying to create a new notification or trying to assign a new notification to the operation.

If the "assignment of Operation to object list" isn't active for the order type, then all operations are assigned to the header notification and the same notification will be called up from IW41.
