Hello,
I am writing regarding the steps needed for a SAP BPC MS:Upgrade from BPC MS 10 to BPC MS 10.1.
Apart from the BPC 10 to 10.1 upgrade, we also need to upgrade the OS release from Windows Server 2008 R2 to Windows Server 2016, perhaps also the MS SQL version (which is currently MS SQL 2008).
Has anyone else done this? What would be the best approach?
I was thinking of the following steps:
1. Upgrade OS / MS SQL with the current SAP BPC 10 installed
2. After that, Upgrade SAP BPC to 10.1
3. Migrate environment (procedure described in the upgrade guide)
Within this thread I saw that you only need to run the installer in order to upgrade from BPC 10 to BPC 10.1 (no need to uninstall anything).
Also, in case we also need to move to a different machine, could anyone tell me what would be the approach for this scenario? Is there a way to migrate SAP BPC from one server to another?
Thanks and I appreciate any feedback.
