Question on BPC 7.5 ABAP server component installation on existing BPC 7.0

Dear Friends,

We have a existing BPC 7.0 NW system and planning to upgrade to 7.5 BPC NW.

I have installed all the prerequisite patches on BASIS ABAP BW to SAP Netweaver 7.01 SP level 5 EHP 1.

The question is what are the CPM addon files i need to upload using SPAM .

Is it just the CPM BPC 7.5 SP04 package or i need to install all the SP's sequentially from SP01.

Do i also need to install the 51038231 which is the installation master for 7.5 considering bpc 7.0 is already there.

Hi Sachin,

First you need to install the installation package for 7.5 NW and then you can directly install the latest SP. The service packs are cumulative in nature. This means that if you install the recent SP, it will automatically install the updates present the previous SPs.

Dear Nilanjan,

Thanks for your help but also note here that patches need to be implemented incrementally

I have installed the patches successfully now .you need to get all the patches till the latest otherwise it wont allow you to install.

Here is what i did.

->I installed the addon first and then the support packs.

->For the ABAP server components,the SP's have to be imported and patched up incrementally using SPAM transaction unlike the server and client components (BPC Front end components).
