CR XI to CR 2008

Hi Folks,

I am facing an issue, here is the scenario. We are in the process of Upgrading our databases from Summer 05 to Summer 09 as well with Crystal Reports XI to Business Objects XI 3.1( CR 2008 ). I followed this steps.

1. Modify Reports

2. Publish Reports

3. Validate Reports

4. Update Report Repository

Till now using the above steps we upgraded 75 reports ( working Fine ) and we are able to see them in Infoview.

For some reports after entering the prompt values, I cannot see any data.

Doing some research >>>

a) Ensure the report is using the correct connection information. For example, the data source name, server name, database name, and user name are correct.

b) In a database-client test tool, ensure that the fields, tables, and procedures used by the report exist and that SQL queries can be executed against them.

c) In the Crystal Reports designer, verify that the SQL query, as shown under the Database menu Show SQL Query option, does not contain syntax errors.

d) If the SQL query shown in Crystal Reports is valid, execute the same SQL query through a database-client test tool.

The above a,b,c,d >>> didn't help me out to find the solution. .

    Hi SN,

I moved your post to the BOE forums. You may also want to call to discuss with a support engineer for migration. If you continur to do this manually then try this order:

    1. Modify Reports

    3. Validate Reports

    2. Publish Reports

    4. Update Report Repository

Then in the CMC verify the reports are updated and the log on info is correct.

There are migration wizards that may help also. BOE team are the best to discuss this with.

    Thank you

    Don
