Hello everyone,
Would anyone know why under set datasource location the ole db provider list is empty? Nothing to choose from.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm using Crystal Reports 2008 (12 with service pack 2).
Thank you,
It sounds like the OLE DB client drivers have not been installed. There are two pieces to this - the Crystal OLE DB connector and the OLE DB client driver for your database. Both have to be installed.

Hi Dell,
We have the OLE DB client driver for our database installed, but how would I check the Crystal OLE DB connector? Wouldn't Crystal Reports 2008 install that automatically? I'm not a programmer anymore I'm a Systems Admin. We have someone working on this and we are stumped. Let me know if you know of a way to check if Crystal OLE DB connector is installed or if you think it could be something else. Thank you for your help so far.
Peter
The easiest way I can think of to check would be to do an 'Update" install of Crystal. You should have the option to see what's installed (as if you were doing a custom install) and add the OLE DB drivers if they're not included. If they are included, I would then do a "Repair" install to see if that helps.
