How to control the confirmations using the relationships?

Hi All,

I have a requirement, there are 3 activities in the network 10, 20 and 30 and each of these activities are linked with relationship type FS.

My requirement is unless i confirm activities 10 and 20 the system should not allow me to confirm the activity 30.

Can anyone suggest how to control this?

In network confirmation parameters for prdertype and plant, OPK4 maintain the check 1)Operation Sequence: Error when operation sequence is not adhered to.

I think it will work only for production order not for networks. System will consider the parameters defined in OPST for networks.

I have tried ops4 but as rifaee said parameters maintained here are not controlling the networks.

In opst there is no such control to control the relationships for activities.

How to control this? Please help.

I dont think it can be controlled in Std. SAP. You can make use of user status, so that only those activities whose user status permits to confirm can only be confirmed. But it requires manual work, every time your user has to change the status if the activity is to be confirmed.

I have seen threads in past with similar kind of requirement. But, I am not sure whether a solution has been given or not. You can try searching those and see what are the solutions suggested.

Check with your technical team (ABAPer), and explain him your requirement. This can be done. I have worked on this type of case in past .

I think you can use 'enhancements' for network confirmations. You can control this with user exits. To know exactly which user exit will be applicable,contact your ABAP consultant.
