Role for "New System (from PAR)"

Hi,

I am content administrator but I haven't permissions for actions: "New (from PAR)" / "New System (from PAR)".

(I have permissions for creating iViews, Pages, etc.).

Which role do I need? I will not be given system administrator, so I need the exact role.

Thx in advance

For creating new system .. you will defintely need system administrator for creating a new system. You can check if there are any delegated roles for system administration

    Hi Bruno ,

The two actions that you have mentioned can be availed from system admin only . There are two ways of getting access to these .

    1) Content Admin->portal content -> Portal Administrators . You can access the system admin role from here .

    2) Create a copy of the system admin role and paste it inside any folder . Remove all the worksets except system configuration . Attach the system config workset to directly to the role . Set entry point of workset to yes and that of role to No.

Inside system config , remove all objects except system landscape . Assign this role to your self . This way you have restricted access to system admin role . You can ask your Basis folks to do the above .

If there's no specific role for such action, I'll need to have restricted system admin permissions. Let's see if basis folks give me that permissions.

      Thx.

    Bruna,

    This is a permission issue.

You would need a system admin/Super admin role for this action.

Ask your Admin to perform the below permission settings:- System Admin -> Permissions -> Portal Permissions -> Applications -> Right click -> Open Permission -> Add a group/role/user to set the permission give the permission type and make sure that you have checked the check box "end user".
