Cancel Logistic Verification Invoice

HI Gurus

I have to cancel the logistic invoice in fiscal period 01-2011.

i have open the 01 to 03 of ( 2011) in. OB52 ( all financial GL,AP,MM )

while in MMRV ( i can see open periods is 03, ) posing is also allowed in 02. ( Previous period ).

when i use MR8M for Logistic invoice canccellation ( belong to 02 period ) in period 01. then it gives error . Posting can be made in 02 or 03.

that means to cancel logistic invoice .. Logistic period ( MMPV ) should be open. ????

where my understanding was to cancel that there is only need of 0b52 ( FI,AP,MM ) periods.

Please clear my understanding.

    Hi,

    yes erro is correct , you can cancel this document either in 02 or in 03 ,

    as 01 is closed , and you can open only last month period in MM.

    if current period is 03 then you can open till 02 not beyond that.

    Hello Dear,

    The error that you are getting may mean different in different countries, depending upon Fiscal yeah variant used.

    As in India where Financial period Starts from April till March and Fiscal year variant used is V3.

    So this error means that only may and June month are open.

    This error is misleading and should not be confused with the calender year.

    Look for what is the fiscal year variant used and do the changes accordingly.

    OBY6 is T-code to check Fiscal Year Variant.

      Trying to cancel invoice which belongs to july,that period is closed now(quoting error message posted),

      two periods can be kept open.You need to cancel invoice in period 02 - aug or in period 03- sept

      in mr8m,select revesal reasons 02 or 03 or 04 depending upon your requirement with posting dates in period 02 & 03.
