Upgrade terminated at phase JOB_RSINDCHK

Hi Guys,

I'm in the middle of upgrading our R3 47 system to ECC 6.0. It's

already in "step 6 downtime".Something went wrong at phase

JOB_RSINDCHK. I check the error log and found the corresponding note

1483283. It told me to implement the correction instruction. But I'm

at "step 6 downtime" of upgrade, I can only log on our system by user

DDIC and I cannot change anything. Can anyone tell me an workaround?

Hello Bin,

If you are sure that this note is the one that will resolve the issue, you need to unlock the system for users other than DDIC, then manually apply the note and lock the system again before repeating the phase:

1. Unlock the SAP-system at OS level with the following commands:

tp unlocksys <SAPSID> pf=<Transportprofil> (full path)

tp unlock_eu <SAPSID> pf=<Transportprofil> (full path)

2. Apply the correction instructions of the note manually either in se80 or se38

3. Lck the SAP-system at OS level with the following commands:

tp locksys <SAPSID> pf=<Transportprofil> (full path)

tp lock_eu <SAPSID> pf=<Transportprofil> (full path)

4. Repeat the phase

Hi Bin,

you need to go to tcode SE06, push button "System Change Option" and set the "Global Setting" to "Modifiable".

You can then make the changes required to solve your problem.
