LSMW Question - Application Server for storing Imported / Converted files

Former Member

Hi SAP Guru's,

We found that all of our import and export files are being written directly to the SAP application server /usr/sap/ and wanted to change the directory and application server that these files are written too.

Imported Data File for Imported Data (Application Server)

Converted Data File for Converted Data (Application Server)

Is this something that can be easily changed to default to another application server?

How can we change the default application server directory for LSMW files that are imported / converted.

Hi Ed,

Well if you want to change it for individual objects, then goto the LSMW object & click on SPECIFY Files. While specifying the file name for Import/Export/Conversion specify it along with the path

i.e. /tmp/mm_master1.conv

Thanks,

Best regards,

Prashant

Once you change the path to a different value, this will be stored under your user name in table /SAPDMC/LSOPAR and will be pulled as default when you specify files for the next object.
