#MULTIVALUE error

i am trying to run a report on Sold to party and Cost elements... and i am getting a #MULTIVLAUE in one of the VALTCUR filed. can someone let me know why this is happening.. on a webi report, i was told that it had to do with the Aggregates in the report and if it is can someone help me out with changing this option?

Thank You,

Sunithi

    Hi,

This error comes when there exist multiple values of the object for the context which you are trying to show in a single cell.

You can use sum or some other aggregation to the measure column to avoid the error.

The question is very vague. What is VALTCUR field here? Is it a Dimension or a Measure?

As the abover person has said, MULTIVALUE error occurs when you try to display multiple values in a single cell / row. If the field you are talking about is a Measure, try using any aggregate functions as per your requirement (SUM / MAX / MIN etc).

I believe you might have two queries in your report, and you would have created a DETAIL object for the object from one of the queries (say query 2) and that might be causing this error. Try making all the objects from this query (i.e. query 2) into dimensions and the objects from other query as DETAIL objects. It might work.
