Wrong hyperlink in /SAPSRM/OFFLINEAPPROVALSEND mail

Former Member

Dear All,

We use the program /SAPSRM/OFFLINEAPPROVALSEND to send offline approval mails.

There are Hyperlinks In these mails to access directly the portal and to approve the workitem in the portal.

But theses links are not correct, the first part is missing:

Hyperlink in mail ==> :///irj/portal/?NavigationTarget=OBN://BOSystemAlias=SAP_SRM/BOT...

Correct hyperlink to our portal ==> http://xx2srmdev.xxx.local:50000/irj/portal?navigationtarget=obn://BOSystemAlia.

As you can see, the first part (the principal address of our server) and u2018httpu2019 are missing in the link of the mail.

Do you know this problem and how we can correct it?

Thanks,

Thomas

Hi,

Check if the following entries are maintained in in SPRO -> SAP Supplier Relationship Management -> SRM Server -> Technical Basic Settings -> Maintain Portal Information:

1. Port of SAP Portal(Internal): e.g. 50000

2. Protocol (Internal): http

3. Root Path of iView/Application : /irj/portal/prtroot/

4. Full Qualified Domain Name(Internal) : e.g. pwdf6379.wdf.sap.corp

Kind regards,

Siobhan

Hi Shioban,

Just to note that the string '://' is hard coded concatenated to the URL. Therefore there is no need to add this to the entries in customising.

Thanks a lot for the feedback Iftekhar!

Hi Thomas,

I have exactly the same problem , but luckily i have HTTP in the link. so what i thought that may be ITS_DEST attribute is missing so that could be the issue . But even after miantaining the attribute ITS_DEST inorg structure with the server and port the mail for offline approval still does not have that value in the URL link.

So definitely in SRM 7.0 the server details in the URL is determined in different logic to that in SRM 5.0

Please update me the thread in case you get any solution too.

Thanks

Hi alam

Note 1427037 - RBBP_NOTIFICATION_OFFAPP: No SAP Portal URL generation

This note is valid for SRM 500 only. The relevant report is no longer used in higher releases. As of SRM 600, there are portal-specific solutions that allow the system to automatically read the portal values from portal Customizing. The solution that is still implemented here using user attributes (here, ITS_DEST) no longer exists there. The report is no longer "upported" to the higher releases and is therefore no longer supported there either.

i dont want disturb your new thread

Hi Muthu,

So it seems there are portal specific setting that would generate the complete link in the offline approval i.e append the server and port details in the URL.

\We are also looking for that .. but it is surprising to know if portal controls that coz the offline approval mail is generated in the SRM application and mail come to lotus notes or Outlook.

Anyone who could confirm the customizing for the URL generation in the offline approval mail.

Thanks
