Unable to Convert Sender Service to an ALE Logical system

Hi,

I am doing a simple SOAP -> PI 7.11 -> IDOC scenario. All objects are created and activated. In testing I get an error

Unable to convert the sender service TemporaryDisconnection_Sender to an ALE logical system

Sender is a Business Service.

I search SDN and found this blog /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/03/29/xi-error--unable-to-convert-the-sender-service-to-an-ale-logical-system

I did the Compare with SLD for the Business System. But still the error comes.

In mapping I Disable EDI_DC40 segment.

Also find one suggestion which tells to change the Header Mapping in Receiver Agreement, what exactly should I put in Sender Communication Component of the Header mapping?

Thank you,

Pankaj.

    > Sender is a Business Service.

Since you are using a Business Service which is not maintained in your SLD therefore receving system is not able to recognize it. So for this you need to do header mapping in receiver agreement and put a name which actually exists in your SLD.

    >what exactly should I put in Sender Communication Component of the Header mapping?

    See above ans

      Hi Rajesh,

The 5 and 6th screenshot of your blog helped solve the issue.

@Sarvesh: I will try your solution also, once I get the server connectivity restored.

      Thank you,

      Pankaj.

    >In mapping I Disable EDI_DC40 segment.

Enable EDI_DC40 and map the sender name e.g. partner profile name into the field SNDPRN of EDI_DC40 and also map any constant value to "Segment" field and then disable all other mandatory fields of EDI_DC40. Now come to Receiver Agreement -

    >Sender Service and then take F4 help and chose SNDPRN.

Your Sender Service will look something like this.. /ORDERS05/IDOC/EDI_DC40/SNDPRN
