Hello Experts,
Can any one please let me know, the relationship type which are show in the Relationship assignemnt block are based on the product type?
If I want to add a new relationship type to a service product how to do it?
Regards
Vinod
Hi,
Yes, the relationship types are based on the product category.
You can add new standard relationship type to the service product category in tcode COMM_HIERARCHY.
Once you add a relationship type it will be available in the product master in COMMPR01.

Hello Vinod,
RelTypes are always assoicated with Product Categories and not directly to product types.
You need to assign the RelTypes to product categories in txn:COMM_HIERARCHY.
Products created under this category will get those RelType views automatically.
If you want to add a new relationship type to a service product ,
then you can check for the category which is been created for Product Type Service (in txn:COMM_HIERARCHY under the
tab Category-->Basic Data on Category) or you can create a new category and assign it to product type service and then
assign necessary RelTypes to this new category.
Hope this helps!
Best Regards,
Shanthala Kudva.
