Intercompany process

Dear Experts,

I've the following requirement: in a MTO scenario, there is a sales order with two items, to be delivered to customer C.

Item 1 is produced by plant 1000, item 2 by plant 2000.

What we want is that only plant 2000 shall deliver the complete order to the customer C, that is, concerning item 1, plant 1000 shall produce it and deliver it to plant 2000 first.

Then, plant 2000 will collect all items and deliver them to customer C.

Do you know if such a process can be managed? And how to accomplish it?

You have not indicated whether both the plants are under one company code. If so, search Google with the text "Plant to Plant Stock Transfer", you will get lot of inputs. Many times, this has been discussed in SCN.

The two plants are under two different company codes, plant 1000 has company code 1000, plant 2000 with company code 2000, as follows:

What should be the settings with such a structure?

You have not explained whether is there any constraint in transferring item-1 from 1000 to 2000

Thank you for the answer. I'm quite new to this, could you please explain which kind of constraints should be there?
As of today, every plant has delivered directly to the customer its own produced goods.

Now, we want to change this habit, and let one plant to deliver its and also other plant's goods, for a specific customer.

Is there something in the customizing to be adapted?
