Error in SSO Configuration

Hi Experts,

I have done SSO configuration between backend system(IDES) and portal.

I am getting the following error when i give transaction code in portal.

Error: Ticket contains no/an empty ABAP user ID (see note 1159962)

I read the note 1159962 but i didn't get the solution.

Can anyone please help me

Thanks in advance

Uday

    Hi Uday,

just follow the flow chart attached to the note

These are the questions to ask yourself:

    (1) Is user mapping configured? If YES, is there a mapping for the user you are using in the SSO attempt? If YES, is the mapped userid too long?

If the system is configured for usermapping AND there is no mapping defined for the user OR the mapped id is too long

then the then the ABAP ID id in the ticket will be empty

    (2) What is the value of ume.r3.mastersystem.uid.mode?

If it is 0 and there is no user mapping defined, then the ABAP ID id in the ticket will be empty!

If it is 1, but the portal id is too long, then the then the ABAP ID id in the ticket will be empty

You should try the SSO with various different users to see if it works for some and not others

We have to create service user with same name as portal user.
