Checking retention period of SOST mails

Hello Experts,

Greetings!

I would require your help to understand me that whether is there any way to check the retention period of SOST mails and how can we ensure that mails are getting purged from the system post retention period?

In order to do this purging mails, I found Reorganization of Business Component data in SCOT tx, by which I can execute the RSBCS_REORG report or schedule for background processing. So also would like to know whether is there anything else needs to be done to purge these mails?
