Sorry for the typo there is a backslash missing in the described path. The correct path is...
%yourInstallationDirectory%Business ObjectsBusinessObjects Data Services ingrantFileAccess.bat

Hi rajeev,
I have successfully installed BODS on Windows 7 (32bit and 64bit) Systems with all components except the database running on the win7 system. So it definetly works for those components and since the problem persists while using an already installed db it most likely is a problem with the packaged mysql db.
Your problem is probably an access rights issue. Maybe your BODS processes run on a standard user account without permission to access the appropriate files. Run ..Business ObjectsBusinessObjects Data Services ingrantFileAccess.bat from your shell. This grants BODS file/directory access rights to the standard user.

Jörg

what is the BODS version that you are trying to install ?
I think on windows 7 and vista you can install only Designer (client)
