Crystal Report - Parameters List

Former Member

Hi All,

I created a report in Crystal basing on two SQL commands - command1 and command2.

The command1 is fetching the employees data while the command2 is being used just

as a source for departments drop down list. When I run the report in Crystal,

it appears with a drop down list of all departments. I select a department and

click the OK button to get the results.

This works fine when I save the report on my C:\ drive but when I save the report

on my BOXI server, the drop down list disappears. When I run/refresh the report, it comes

up with a box to type in the department number instead of a drop down list.

I have seen the cascading prompt and data connection in Business View Manager and they look

fine. I have also tried to setup username and password with "never prompt" option. But it

does not make any difference on the report.

Could somebody help me in this regard?

Regards,

Zahid

BOE won't run the command to get the list of values, it waits for all parameters and then runs the report. Only option is to use a LOV to populate the list.

Hi Zahid,

Are you using JAVA viewer for viewing the Crystal Reports?

Try using a different viewer in BOXI.

I am using Crystal Viewer 2008. I have also tried Logicity viewer but no success. The moment I save the report at boxi server, the parameters drop down is lost.
