MRP: Scheduling Date for procurement proposal

Former Member

Hi,

I have a material MRP type PD, planned delivery time 7 days, GR processing time 2 days.

Stock requirement scenario is as below:

Current stock (15.09.10) = 5

Reservation (req date 15.09.10) = 20

PR (24.09.10) = 15

Reservation (req date 25.09.10) = 15

Reservation (req date 30.09.10) = 2

On planning run (MD03), MRP is creating procurement proposal , availability date 08.10.2010

I wonder why MRP id creating procurement proposal for 08.10.10 ? Though it is giving exception 30, meaning requesting user to reschedule this proposal to 25.09.10 and 30.09.10. Why MRP is not directly scheduling proposals on these dates (which is the correct date).

Pls see if you can help.

Thanks and regards,

TS

Hi,

I think it is calculating from PR (24.09.10), ahead.

""Current stock (15.09.10) = 5

Reservation (req date 15.09.10) = 20

PR (24.09.10) = 15

Reservation (req date 25.09.10) = 15

Reservation (req date 30.09.10) = 2""

Todays req is 20 and U are receiving it on 24th. (B'cse the planned dlv time is 7 days)

On 25th req is 15 and date calculation is from 25th, taking working days in to account GR time, Pld Dlv time, and Sch margin key if any.

If you change planned delivery time to 1 day you will get PR=15 on 17th. and from it 9-10 days for next requirement.

You can try. The reschedule is due to imbalance in current date and Stock & req.

Or you can first reschedule the Current PR and Its date. Then you should get correct output.
