Results of value help not getting received

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to implement a value help for a field in the component BT115H_SLSO. The view I'm working on is BT115H_SLSO/Details. I created my own model node to display the Sales Representative in the header part of the view. (Before that you could only see it the parnters view). To do that I created it to be dependent on the BTAdminH model node with the relation BT_Partner_00000012 (which is the sales representative). Furthermore I added an attribute "Fullname" to display the name of the sales rep rather then the number. I also wrote the needed getter/setter methods so you can input a number and it searches for the name and updates itself, etc.

I implemented a search help for that sales rep field. It basically is the same thing the standard does in the Partner View of the component BTPartner. There you can also search for employees etc. and I just copied most of it. I managed to open up the popup and it is fully operational.

My problem is that when I select an employee out of the input help it doesn't get transfered into my own field and I can't figure out how the standard manages to change the objects. Which events are used to receive the selected entry and to update the objects?

I would be very happy if anybody know how I can fix it or show me another way to do it!

Regards,

Georg

    Hi,

Try to find out which event is raised when you select the value at the search help. You can do debugging to see if the value gets updated to the context node of the calling view.

      Hi Prasenjit,

thanks for you help! It's very much appreciated. I was able to solve my problem once I figuered out that 2 events and 1 outbound plug were involved in creating the input help.
