Depreciation start date not correct in new depreciation area

I have created a new depreciation area (group validation) to mirror the exisiting tax area (local validation). Exisiting assets are picking up dates from depreciation area 01 instead of tax depreciation area 15. If I create a new asset it will use the depreciation start date of the depreciaiton area 15 even if 15 is not the same as depreciation area 01.

Depreciation area 16 was copied from depreciation 15 with only currency change.
