CR08 Designer <> RDC Interaction (crw32.exe Entry Point Not Found)

This is a rare bad interaction that one user on an XP SP3 machine is reporting.

The machine has Crystal 2008 installed. After installing a Crystal XI R2 RDC application (using the Merge Modules), the user encounters the following error when starting Crystal 2008:

crw32.exe Entry Point Not Found

The procedure entry point ?PrintLegend@CMapXLegend@CSLib300@@QAEXJJJJJ@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library cslibu-3-0.dll

Any ideas on what could be causing this and how to avoid it?
