SAP Service desk integration with BMC Remedy

Hi Experts

Please advise on the requirements of settting up a connection between Solution Manager and BMC Remedy.

What is required from both applications in order for the two systems to communicate with each other?

..we just set up BMC integration and it was really quite east, used integration tool from Mansystems, no additional work was required...

The default mapping which is available for Solution Manager is this applicable only from one solution manager system to another or can this default mapping be used for external service like Remedy?
