Characteristics of COPA

Hello Friends

I am required to do the settings of Operating concern & data structure.

Our requirement for characteristics :

Business Unit, Region, State, Trading/Mfg., Product, Govt Sales/Dom Sales/Export, Location Office, etc.

I know that the characteristics that are not available in standard have to be created such as business unit, trading/mfg, etc.

Out of the above characteristic "Product" is also there. Is it readily available in any tables ? I could not find it. Does it have any relation with "Material" ?

Hi Nikita

Product (ARTNR) in COPA is same as Material (MATNR)

It is available in table CE4XXXX and CE1XXXX where XXXX = your op concern

Thank you Ajay. Please also tell me about other characteristics I have mentioned. Are all of them are to be created as user-defined ? I am doing the COPA first time. So please forgive me if I am silly.

Hi

Business Unit - yes

Region - Yes

State - Yes

Trading/Mfg - Yes

Product - No

Govt Sales/Dom Sales/Export - Yes/No.. You can differentiate Dom and export sales using the char COUNTRY... Govt Sales can be differentiated using Dist Channel... Both COuntry and Dist CHannel are std fields...

Location Office - Yes/No

If you mean sales office in SD, it is also availalbe in COPA as standard field.. if you dont mean sales ofc , then create it as user defined char
