Alert issue in BPM

Hi,

i was created bpm with block step in that i was used deadline and exception branch(the scenario was sap to jdbc using bpm), while testing the message was processed successfully but message also going to excetion and deadline branch and creating alerts.(but there no exception found).i gave the deadline branch processing time is 2 mins and i created alert in exception branch but without getting any error its going to exceptio branch.please can anyone help in the issue.
