sub contracting by product

hi gures

i am doing subcontracting by-product, in the g.r with 101 bi product movement type not trigering as 545, it is trigaring as 543

wat can i change?

Hello,

If the system is triggering 543 then it means that system is not considering the products as Bi-Products, it is considering them as Part of Bill of Material.

For Bi-products you have to maintain the materials in BOM with Negative sign (-ve)

Only then the system will consider them as Bi products.

In case you have defined some scrap in BOM it will come back with movement type 542.

If parent material stock is not consumed after GR,cancel material document,In BOM,create a scrap material,include

material in bom with consumption qty in negative,trigger it in p.o.,save changes in p.o.

finally do migo & display material document item details,you can see 545 movement type.

Hi,

In the BOM,we have to maintain by-Product and components.system understands its by-product and component by its

-ve/+ve signs.for by-product its _ve and +ve sign forcomponents.please maintain this in BOM,the by-product is updated with 545

movement type. and components are updated with 543 movement type.

Dear,

Maintain BOM with negative qty (by product) then create the PO and then do the GRN so systems will create automatic by product stock (movment 545 ).

Hi,

In the BOM pl. ensure "-"ve sign is there for the qty mentioned against the scrap item code. Consumption item code should have "+" ve sign.

If "-"ve sign is not maintained, system will consider the scrap item code as consumption item and generate 543 during GR.

545 movement type will be triggered for only scrap component.

Please check material BOM and assign negatve sign to scrap component.
