Klient makes quality control at "bulk" level in process production (material x). After that the bulk-products are packed into smaller packages and get a new material number (material x + packages = material y). No quality control is made after packaging. Certificates must be sent to the customer for the finish packed material (material y).
How to solve this?
If you are using standard functionslity, in certificate profile, while defining characteristic, use result origin as "inspection/batch from production chain". It will fetch the results from material X.

Thank you Vishal.
1. Does this work when you create the inspection lots manually (insp.typ 89) and not inspection typ 04?
2. How do you tell the system with inspection results to print, on the certificate of the finish material, if more than one components has done qm-test on the same characteristicts in the previus production chain?

The key is the batch where used list. For the system to use the standard SAP COA functionality mentioned above you must either:
1) be getting the results from the batch and your batch where used list must be fullly populated for all the materials used back to the batch you want to get results from.
2) if you want to get the results from an inspection lot, your inspection lots must be tied to the batch records and the related process orders. (Process orders tell the system what raw materials went into the finished product at each level). Since 89 lots are not tied to process orders, I don't think you will find this will work. It might work if you create manual 04 lots instead of 89's since the 04 would than reference the process order. But if you do this, you might as well create the 04 lots automatically.
