Universe Create custom LOV

Hi All,

I want to associate a custom list of values to a dimension in the universe. please le me know the steps how to associate an excel sheet as a LOV in universe in version 3.1.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Hi Anjna,

Did your Custom LOV work?? Actually I'm also facing some bizzare issue with it, please see the below link:

Please let me kniow if you have done somthing different and/or if you are using much newer version of BO than mine.

Hi Anjna,

You can do the following steps,

1. Launch universe designer

2. Click on Tools menu --> List of Values --> Edit List of values

3. It will display the classes and objects from your universe

4. Select the dimension to which you want to associate a LOV

5. Under properties, select personal data and click on edit button

6. It will launch "access personal data" screen.

Here, you can browse for the excelsheet and make necessary configuration.

In OLAP universe does not apply, right?
