Spilt Valuation /Batches for FG with MAP

Dear consutants.

The scenario is like this-

The materials are transfered from different plants of different location having different std price, to assembly plants for further process. Currently these materials are maintained as FG with STD price.For Costing purpose client want to make these FG goods to maintian as MAP with Split valuation. Split valuation is for find out from which plant the FG has come.Also planning to maintian materials as Batch managed.

Is Split valuation is required or Batches with MAP will satisfy the requirement. Stock are there for this materials.

What are the factors to be taken care of for this changes?

Is there any other options.
