You are using a copy of standard MSS role but probably that copied role has a delta link to standard delivered training event details iview/page.

You can either change the permissions of these page/iview under SAP standard content(content provided by sap->content for line managers->pages/iview->HCM) to add your ESS oreveryone role in the permissions. Make sure you check the checkbox 'end user'.

Or better and recommended way is to copy this page/iview to your customer specific content folder(not delta link, but copy-paste) so that it will inherit permissions of your customer specific root folder(Make sure 'end user' checkbox is ticked). then remove the references of standard page/iview in copied MSS role and add this newly copied page/iview.

cheers~

Hi,

Check your default tracel file when you get this error. It may be you are getting "ACcess Denied Exception" and normally this is reported as "File not found" on ESS / MSS. If that is the case, try to assign the permission on the page / role you are trying to access.

Hope this helps.

Yes this is the case.

How assign the permission in the role to page that I am trying to access?

The page that I need access is the following:

pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/line_manager/com.sap.pct.erp.mss.bp_folder/com.sap.pct.erp.mss.pages/com.sap.pct.erp.mss.hcm/com.sap.pct.erp.mss.trainingeventsdetails/com.sap.pct.erp.mss.trainingeventsdetails

Hi,

Just do a right click on your HCM folder or Training Event Details folder and click on "Permissions". In this screen, you can either add user / group or role and specify the type of permission. I normally assign it to a role or group level depending on the scenario. In your case, you can specify role and select your portal ESS role (assuming your training and events are part of ESS role) and assign a read permission. So effectively, anyone who has ESS role will automatically get the permission to this training and event page.

Hpe this helps.

Hi,

Try http://portal:port/nwa

In that you will find Logs and Traces. Select the option of "Default Trace". You will see the error. If the error is "Access Denied" then assign the permission to the folder where your ESS / MSS contents resides in Portal Content.

To assign permission, right click on the folder - select permission and add your Portal ESS role to it with Read Permissions.

This will give all the users with ESS the permission to access that page. Try this if it works.

THanks,

jigar
