use specific excel template when exporting from Infoview/Business Objects

Hi - does anyone know how a specific excel template can be used during export from Business Objects? The xls template will contain all the necessary header/footer information regardless of the number of designers creating the report. Im wondering whether the DLL attached to the BO can be updated with this new excel template. Any idea will come in handy.
