All,
We are starting on a CRM implementation project. Our integration partner is getting this error when trying to active CRM data sources:
Namespace '/CRMBW/' is not a valid BI namespace
Message no. R7017
Diagnosis
Namespace '/CRMBW/' must be entered in both the BI table RSNSPACE and the basic table TRSNSPACE or the view V_TRNSPACE. You also have to enter the relevant generation namespace '&V2' in table TRNSPACE. THis value is taken from table RSNSPACE.
I've had to create namespaces before, for 3rd party addons, but never for standard SAP. Has anyone else come across this same issue, or can shed some light on this one?
Thanks in advance,
Jose
HI Jose,
check the Sap note : Note 401778 - Using namespaces to develop individual BW objects , this might help you resolve this issue

I found the SAP Note 1241180, which states:
"The name space /CRMBW/ is reserved for SAP internal use in the context of CRM Interactive Reporting...SAP does not recommend to use, modify or copy any objects in that name space. Please understand that SAP cannot give any support for those objects in any context other than CRM Interactive Reporting."
So that answers my question regarding the creation of the namespace /CRMBW/, what I need to solve now is why this SAP provided namespace is not available on our BW 7.0 system.

Thanks,
So I take it from your post that /CRMBW/ is not an SAP provided namespace, and that it is okay to create on my own?
Thanks again.
Jose
