Purchase Order release strategy

Hi Folks,

I am trying to create a document on PO release strategy from our current production system. I did go thru below links and trying to find if there is any option in 4.6 c to create a report with complete PO release strategy details.

Could you please, help what would be the best approach come up with a comprehensive document on PO release strategy so that it would be easy to understand by end users. Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi,

You are preparing end users document for PO release strategy,

From end user side end user must know PO number to release & release code is assign to him /he is going to use to release the PO. You can prepare the word document with explaining all details and with all screenshot.

Also you can prepare next level excel document, the logic behind release procedure with release group and release strategy values depended and released codes created for.But before preparing documents ,you need to understand all release characteristics & release class associated for designing of release procedure.

Hi RK,

You can make the Word Document or Excel Document ,Maintain the following columns :

No of Scenario , Scenario Description,Purchasing Document type to be selected, SAP-USER ID(Requisitionar),PReq or PO Amount , Release strategy ,Release Code., Routing Rule(s) First to u2026; then to(i.e who is going to Release and where its going to stop)

Apart from that you can maintain on which Characteristic your release strategy will trigger, so that user will be more comfortable, they will come to know when the strategy will be triggered and in case if the release strategy is not triggering then they themselves can analyse the problem ,before coming for any support issues.

Hi,

if u are making for end user then excel is quite sufficient

here u can mainian at header release code against it user name

Then mainacharatristic column against u maintain who will be releasing it i.e release code
