Hi all

I need SAP BO sizing help

I want to install several SAP BO components on one server

• SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise (Windows/MSSQL server)

• SAP BusinessObjects Xcelsius Enterprise 2008 (Windows)

• Live Office (Windows)

• SAP BusinessObjects Web Services

Expectations are 100-150 active users (50 concurrent) and 10 development users.

We need to environments - 1 development setup and 1 production.

BOE sizing is a service SAP sells to our customers.

Proper sizing requires a deep evaluation of business needs, usage patterns and other components...

Couple of coments on your proposed setup :

1. Live Office is a client component, it doesn't need to be installed on the server.

2. Xcelsius - same

3. Web services are part of BOE install.

You should not have dev and prod environments on the same server.

For 50 concurrent users, who will be using all listed components your one server box better have some serious horse power and you should use some real enterprise application server, like WebLogic or Websphere....

Having everything on one box, specialy CMS DB - will create a serious resource contention, specialy for I/O, memory and CPU....
