Fixed Assets Depreciation in local ledger.

12 Fixed Assets (Computers) acquired in October of 2007, and they have been booked only in Reporting Ledger (0L), once they have been leased. The depreciation is in 3 years, and started in 2007, considering as basis amount the total amount leased.

Now that the leasing has finished, company decided to purchase those computers, and the purchase amount is lower than the total amount leased in the beginning (Residual amount). Once those computers have been purchased on November, legally in our Local Ledger (L1) we should start depreciating such assets from December on, using as basis amount the lower amount (residual amount) of the asset, in 3 years.

This means that for the same asset, we need depreciation in different periods, and considering different amounts (In 0L we only have 9 remaining installments of depreciation, while in L1, we have 36 installments from Decemberu201909 on.

We already tried to change the depreciation area, but this does not allow us to calculate the depreciation, once this is not considering any acquisition amount, and we are not pretty sure about the posting of the depreciations.

the calculation of the depreciation, as it should have different depreciation amount for each ledger. We took as an example Asset number.

How can we implement this concept in SAP? Does SAP have a solution to this example, or do we need to create anew asset to cover Ledger L1?

We need to perform this adjustment ASAP, so we appreciate your support.

Thanks in advance and best regards,

Nauma.
