Question on OBBA

Former Member

Hi,

i want a little clarity on tcode OBBA. i understand that it calculates the value date considering the cases when a value date falls on a holiday or weekend.

I am using f-28 to clear a customer invoice and expect the configuration made in OBBA to reflect here.

After making necessary entry in OBBA for the house bank(given in the customer master record), i expect the change to reflect when i run f-28. But it doesn't.

Could someone tell where all does the OBBA configuration affect. Would running an automatic payment for clearing attract the OBBA configurations?

NB: i have made sufficient entry in OBBH too.

Thanks,

ficoguy.

Dear,

1 no, if You post manually the payment You can manage the value date and the due date using a date that is not into a weekend or holiday.

2.Transaction OBA3 --> Grace days due days

Number of days by which the payment deadlines may be exceeded when

manual payments are made. Therefore You cannot use it in F110

3. Yes, the OBBA and OBBB are enough.

I hope this helps.

Hi mauri,

thnks for the reply.

i prefer to belive that there is a way to detect weekends/holidays in manual posting of customer invoice, rather than asking my client to direct his employee that when he posts on a monday make sure that the invoice have a due date that fell either on saturday or sunday(same applies for public holiday).

and never in FBZP or F110 i came across an option to permit grace periods for incoming customer payments.

the proposal run with and without the entries in OBBA and OBBB are exactly the same.

Kindly help me through.

Thnx

Dear ficoguy,

OBBA configuration works only for automatic payment (F110).

I hope this helps You.

thanks mauri for the reply,

taking your suggestion, i conclude that running f-28 would never address the issue of net due date( baseline date + grace period) falling on a weekend or public holiday.

And i have noted that the grace period set using tcode OBA3 is not considered while creating the payment proposal in F110.

So could you explain how the grace period for customer is taken care in F110. Also , if any additional configuration need to be done after setting the details in OBBA and OBBB.

thnx
