SLT not removing deleted entry in the source ECC System from Target HANA System

Dear Experts,

We are experiencing issue with tables which are replicated into HANA from ECC System via SLT .

The record count in HANA is more compared to ECC.

Basically removed transactions in ECC.VBAP did not get removed from HANA.VBAP.

Similar issue we see with VBEP, LIKP so far.

Kindly advise what would be going wrong and how can this issue be addressed so that this does not happen again.

Thank you.

in most cases such problem occurs when you have configured a special rule(s) for the table that skip DELETE or UPDATE records from replication. Please investigate what you have for this table in LTRS.

    • As next step I suggest you to investigate a trigger text for update and delete: you can do it via expert function "View Trigger Source Code" (select option "Active Code" in report). Check that trigger insert new records into logging table with 'U'/'D' in column IUUC_OPERT_FLAG.

At the same time please check the content of logging table, if the there're records with 'U'/'D' are persisting for a long time.

As a final step, if you good enough in ABAP and SLT, you can debug the load process with report DMC_STARTER in test mode (only with stong expert knowledge). Here you can check what records were read from source and what records should come into target and on what step you loose the update/delete records.
