Hi Experts,
What is the use of Manual Series in SAP Business One ?
Exactly when to use it ?
BR
Samir Gandhi
Hi Samir.......
Name itself suggests that you can maintain the numbering series manually.
Generally if you define the particular No. Series then it will take nos. sequentially but
if you want the documents to take the no. randomly in such case you can define the
Document No. of any sequence. But The nos. can not be repeated once you defined........
Hope this clarified you more......

Rahul

One of our customers generates some of their marketing documents from a third party system, then imports them into SAP. The manual series is used for these as the numbering is generated by the other system.
When you import manual numbered documents, they are automatically set as printed.

Hi Samir,
If you choose the manual series, then you have to specify the relevant doc number manually.
Thanks
Sachin

Hi Samir,
Say you want to create a sales order but do not want to disturb the numbering, you may use the manual series option.
Thanks,
