DIP Profile - Error during material determination for service order

Hello,

in some cases i get in DP90 this error message:

Error during material determination for service order xxxxxxxxxx

Could one of you experts please give some hinds how i could analyse what went wrong.

Hello,

Reason for your error is below

If you set the indicator, the characteristic from the source specified in the profile (for example, line item actual costs) is (where possible) read and used for the creation of the dynamic items.

If you do not set the indicator, the characteristic is not taken into consideration for the creation of dynamic items

Please check the below spro path or( TC-->ODP1)

Plant Maintenance and Customer Service -> Maintenance and Service Processing -> Basic Settings -> Quotation Creation and Billing for Service Orders-> Profiles for Quotation Creation, Billing, Results Analysis

For Material Below Check Box should be marked-->

Characteristics

Material determination

No summurizing.

You get this error when the system finds items on the order (usually actual cost items) which it cannot convert to materials

Go to your order and check what costs have been posted to the order (Cost tab -> Rep.PlanActl button).

Then go to your DIP Profile and ensure that all these cost items are accounted for on the Characteristics and Material Determination screens (TCode ODP1)

Here the full error:

Error during material determination for service order 83000300

Message no. AD01156

Diagnosis

An error occured during material determination for a dynamic item.

System Response

The system cannot perform the function.

Procedure

Check in the profile being used whether its characteristic allows the assignment of a material to each dynamic item.
