First Bidder's price should be start Price in LAC

Dear Experts,

We need that "Start price will not be specified in the Auction;First Bidder's price should be start Price".

(1)I could see while defining the Transaction Type (document type) for auction,

an indicator "Appliet fields are hidden until the the First Valid Bid ( Help text is Hide until first valid bid indicator)". Hope this will help me to achive the above 50%.

(2) On the other hand, we hand we have to disable the message "start price mandatory" while preparing the Auction document". Can this be done? I could not find this message in SE91. Is there any BADI for this?

Your 1) wouldn't help you much. It is mainly describing that the bidder won't be able to see the auction actions, e.g. who has placed bid, what the current bid price is, how many bidders are online etc) until he places the first valid bid.

Even if you manage to control the error message of "start price is mandatory" to be warning for example, you would meet with a series of problems if the start price is zero. There is no BADI for that purpose either. What you could do, as a work around, is to put a very high price as the start price. This price would be so high that it should be apparently ignored, i.e. as if not existing.
