No Depreciation with Quantity and amount equal to 1

Hi Experts,

Can we import fixed asset with the value & quantity of 1 then no deprectiaion

Hi Amy,

It is not normal for assets that no depreciation. You may set them as manual depreciation though.

Hi Gordon,

Then how come the no depreciation is included in the options? One more thing, Land has no deppreciation. but normally included in the Fixed asset master data if they own multiple properties

You can set them up in an asset class that has no depreciation as the depreciation type

We tried changing the Dept Start date, APC and APC History as well as the useful and remaining life. the same error mesage in the log file

If you put bigger values, does it work? I am not aware of any restrictions on values, but have not used this scenario.

The other option would be to use a larger value as APC, then the same value -1 for depreciation, but you would then need to manipulate the useful life?

I already tried manipulating the useful life.-same error

For the depreciation, did you mean negative 1? I dont think the system will accept negative values.

For APC, I only tried 1 and Zero amount. Same error

I was suggesting putting, for example, 500 in the APC and 499 in the depreciation, so the book value is calculated as 1?
