PR Workflow not working in MRP

Hi

i have created 2 PR , 1 is manually and 1 by MRP , user is getting mail for manually created PR but not getting mail for MRP generated PR.

Please check in SWEL whether RELEASESTEPCREATED event is getting triggerred in background, in case of MRP created PR.

That mean release strategy is not applied. Please check MRP PR whether release strategy is getting applied.

If it is not then there should be issue in release strategy classifiaction configuartion.

Do you mean that for both PRs same release strategy is getting applied, for one release step event is getting triggered and for other it is not. Which seems weird issue. Can you please check again ?

anyway how are you creating MRP PR ?

Hello,

When you checked in SWEL was there no event for PR, or was there no event for MRP, or both?

It could be a start condition on the workflow, check SWB_COND.

SWELS - switch on workflow trace.

SWEL check the event in both cases

Hi

As the event is not getting triggered this is definatey release strategy configue issue.

you have to consider the PR Creation indicator while creating characteristic as PR creation Ind.

1. Create a Characteristic Value with the Table name CEBAN and Field ESTKZ (Creation indicator)

2. Assign the above to a Class

In the Char Value, select 'B' as the option as it refers to MRP created PR.

Please get in touch with functional consultant to do this.

Hello !

Please check any change documents needs to be maintained when you trigger the workflow from MD02.

Change documents differs from transaction to transaction.For ME51N, the change document is BANF.Like wise, for MD02, it could be different.Verify it and configure the change document for MD02.Workflow will now trigger.

Problem not resolve.

release streategy coming properly , problem is that workflow working fine for manually created PR and user getting mail in his inbox , but problem is coming in MRP generated PR in which user is not getting mail.

As per threads availble on SCN it is standard SAP functionality. You will need to trigger RELEASESTEPCREATED event in one of the user-exits for PR.

Hello,

Check in transaction SWB_COND if there is a start condition stopping your workflow in case of MRPs.

If not, look at the workflow definition (tx PFTC_DIS) to see if it checks for MRP (and then stops) there.

I test 1 senerion for MRP generated PR,

In PR i ticked on FIXED ID indicator and release PR , after unrelease PR mail is coming in user inbox.

Hi AP,

to my knowledge MRP requisitions are created by MRP controller and not user id, hence you might be facing the triggering issue.

Also even in the Release Strategy, MRP created requisitions are of NB document type, whereas manually created requisitions could be of your choice.

Dont know what could be the solution as MRP is run in background. (is there a way to run it in foreground?)
