XI Payload Capabilities

Hi,

I had a horrible task of finding one error idoc payload among 548 idocs.

We use BPM to collect invoice idocs and one of them failed due to mapping error.

It was difficult to take all the payload at once to dump into message mapping and finding the correct idocs.

Why cant we test such huge data in xi. Is there any other way of doing this.

I spent literally splitting and reexecuting the idocs in batches to find the error idoc.

Hi Krish,

You can try using WE10 / WE09 transaction in the sender ECC system to look for specific data in any Idoc. It's not the same than the data arriving in PI, but you can assume that that haven't been modified.

If i need to find the mapping error by loading the data into Message Mapping, I can't take 548 idoc-xml as xi can not handle huge payload size.

That is the issue am talking about!

Yes, this is the problem with XI that it cannot handle huge payload size. It will simply hang your PC.

So there is no other way except the way you have already done i.e. splitting the payload into chunks and then test them in mapping test tab.
