Data update of the inspection lot created through T code QA01 through BDC

Can any body help me to resolve following issues:-

Through Z Development with background QA02 BDC processing inspection lot is created for the material is under PDI.

In roder to update the record in Inspection lot which was created thorugh above mentioned process, needs to updated through another Z Development(under running operation) in the background BDC for T code QA12. This was running sucessfully. All of a sudden, an error message is displayed by running Z code for change in inspection lot :- ""Change usage decision" is not allowed (INL 10000013285)" Message no. BS007" and Diagnosis of the system displays the message as written below:-

[The current status of object 'INL 10000013285' prohibits business transaction 'Change usage decision'.].

I am unable to understand why this happening. can somebody give suggestion to resolve the issue.

What is the system status of the inspection lot? Do you possibly have a user status attached that is preventing the UD?

System status are as follows:-

PAOR:-Insp. completion w/o confirm.

REL:-Released

CALC:-Sample calculated

Yes we have zdevelopment for setting user status on each lot. Each lot is assigned as user status for each inspction executive to assign UD code as per requirement.

Wherever System status "REL" is set against inspection, then system is not allowing to assign or change any UD code agains the inspection lot. i.e. QA11 or QA12. What can I do for this situation for assigning or changing of UD code against inspection lot.

Hi,

As the status of your inspection lot is REL it will not allow you to access the UD via transaction QA12, it will only allow you to access this transaction when the status is set to UD ie usage decision completed. You said that it also gives an error when trying to access QA11, what is the error you are getting?

Also just check the active user status on the inspection lot to see if that is possibly preventing the UD to be given in transaction QA11.

Thanks Mr Roderick solving my problems clearing the concept. My problem was only conceptual. I was running QA12 for those inspection lots where no UD assigned.

For QA11 is applicalbe only those lots where no UD assigned. Due non-assignment of User status on Inspection Lot, system does not allow user to proceed further for chaning UD of inspection lot.
