Hi Experts,
In OACT template, I dont see any Segment0, Segment1, Segment2... in the excel sheet. How can I import segmented GL Accounts into the system via DTW?
Thanks!
Warmest Regards,
Chinho
Hi Chinho,
How's your DTW goes? FormatCode is all your need to import Segmentation Chart of Account.
Thanks,
Gordon

But you need to use the _SYS code to import this, as Jimmy says, thou is required the _SYS code for segmented accounts

Dear Lim,
The first step is to define the account segmentation and segmentation category. For end user of B1 2007A and above, You can use the template available in the ...\Data Transfer Workbench\Templates\Templates\Administration\Setup\Financials.
After finishing in segment0, segment1, etc setup using dtw, you can now import the Segmented GL account code. The template is available in the folder ...\Data Transfer Workbench\Templates\Templates\Financials\Chart of Accounts.
The template samples for setup and COA segment are available in the folder ...\Data Transfer Workbench\Templates\Data Preparation Examples\10. Testcase...
The GL account code is entered in the column formatcode and father account key. The format code is use e.g.
Fatheraccountkey formatcode
100000000000000 10.00.000.00
10.00.000.00 11.00.000.00
11.00.000.00 11.10.000.00
11.10.000.00 11.10.001.00/AG/RTL/A
11.10.000.00 11.10.002.00/AG/RTL/A
11.10.000.00 11.10.003.00/AG/RTL/A
11.10.000.00 11.10.004.00/AG/RTL/A
In the above sample, the segments are AG, RTL and A.
have a nice try

You should have a column called "formatcode"> In this you upload the natural account with the segments with no spaces e.g.
11000ADMIN00 will be seen as 11000-ADMIN-00. The system will create the _sys codes on upload
