Hello,
I would like to add new menu items at the top level and I need bitmaps (menuitem.image)
As the background color changes when a menu item is active, I need a transparent background.
BMP: no transparent color setting possible
PNG: Is displayed but the background is white. This is officially not supported.
How should an icon be created, that it will be presented correctly?

Hi,
Based on your request As the background color changes when a menu item is active, I need a transparent background, have you tried by two images instead of one?
Thanks,
Gordon

Hi Gordon
not the background from the bitmap, but the background from the menu - only sap 8.8 Signature
passiv: dark blue
click on Menu-Item: light blue
so I need a transparent background for my bitmaps.
Do you think I should change the bitmap when it is active? Is this the only possibility?
regards

Dont think its possible now in 8.8.. In previous version as menu image was bmp file and specific color in this bmp SBO took as transparent. This doesnt works in 8.8. now and when user moved on menuitem, the background color is visible. Maybe it will be corrected in next patches, but on actual PL it doesnt works.
Hello
start Paint (start/ run / mspaint)
when it is opened, check Image / Draw Opaque option.
resize your image to the requested size (CTRL-E)
draw your picture and save as.
