DNS domain name to calcualte FQDN

Hi ,

I am stuck at the define parameter while installing Netweaver on Windows server 2008 R2 on MS-SQL2008

at this step it says " you have entered an invalid value in the highlighted field.

I dont have any exposure to windows 2008 R2 server, I think its to change the workgroup to domain name?

Does anyone know what steps I need to follow?

    Hi,

If you want to setup FQDN during installation then you need to do domain installation instead of local installation. You need to add Fully qualified domain name against the ip address of your server in your company DNS. Then only it will work.

    Thanks

    Sunny
